Job summary

Endeavor Health in Evanston, IL is seeking a Laboratory Assistant II for per diem shifts (Mon-Fri 8:00 am–4:30 pm, rotating weekends/holidays). Triage, accession, and process non-gynecologic, gynecologic, and FNA specimens as part of the lab team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of laboratory experience.
• Basic computer skills, customer service, and laboratory techniques.

Responsibilities

• Triage, accession, and process non-gynecologic, gynecologic, and FNA specimens.
• Assist quality control to ensure instruments and reagents meet standards.
• Answer phone inquiries and provide results data as required.
• Maintain a safe environment using protective devices.
• Participate in inventory and ordering management.
• Promote patient satisfaction and courteous service to staff and patients.
• Mentor and support new lab staff.
• Ensure quality/compliance via laboratory logs.
