Job summary

Edward Elmhurst Health in Evanston, IL seeks a Laboratory Assistant I to support daily hospital lab operations. You will assist with specimen handling, operate automated analyzers, enter test orders, and help maintain quality and safety practices.

This full-time position offers a 4pm–12:30am schedule, competitive hourly pay, and benefits. No prior experience required beyond a high school diploma; opportunities for growth within our patient‑centered system.

Responsibilities

May prepare histological, microbiological, and clinical pathology specimens and related tasks.
Enters test orders per established procedures and assists with quality control.
