Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Laboratory Assistant II - Per Diem at Evanston Hospital to support specimen processing and triage in a fast-paced clinical lab.

You will handle non-gynecologic, gynecologic, and FNA samples, assist with quality control, and maintain a safe work environment while delivering patient-centered service. Prior lab experience and basic computer skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of laboratory experience.
• Basic computer skills, customer service, and laboratory techniques.

Responsibilities

• Triage, accession, and process non-gynecologic, gynecologic, and FNA specimen.
• Assist with quality control processes and procedures to assure that instruments and reagents meet the required standard of performance.
• Performs related clerical and service tasks such as answering phone inquiries from nursing staff and physicians and gives results data as required.
