Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related science.
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Education department.
• Meets all requirements of the New York State Department of Health for a Laboratory Supervisor.
• Knowledge of laboratory policies and procedures.
• Strong communication skills.

Laboratory Technologist - Hematology | Per Diem

Join a highly skilled technical team of Laboratory Technologists in the Hematology department at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens. In this important role, you will be responsible for performing patient tests, reading hematology slides, conducting quality control procedures, and performing standard preventative maintenance. Required Criteria

• Bachelor’s degreein Medical Technology or related science
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Education department
• Meets all requirements of the New York State Department of Health for a Laboratory Supervisor
• Knowledge of laboratory policies and procedures
• Strong communication skills

Preferred Criteria

• ASCP certification
• Master’s degree in Medical Technology or related science
• Laboratorysupervisoryexperience
• Experience with laboratory regulations and/or CAP inspection
