Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Queens is seeking a Laboratory Technologist in Hematology - Per Diem, to join a highly skilled team in Flushing, NY. You will perform patient tests, read hematology slides, conduct quality control and preventive maintenance, while collaborating with nationally accredited colleagues to deliver lifesaving results.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science, NY licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related science.
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Education department.
• Meets all requirements of the New York State Department of Health for a Laboratory Supervisor.
• Knowledge of laboratory policies and procedures.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient tests and read hematology slides.
• Conduct quality control procedures.
• Perform standard preventative maintenance.
