Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY seeks a TEMPORARY Lab Technologist - Generalist for part time weekend coverage. The role involves rotating between Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank and supporting Microbiology testing as needed; Saturdays and Sundays 4pm–12am with rotating holidays.

A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and NYS licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist are required; ASCP certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure is required.
• If license is pending, it must be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Rotate between Chemistry and Hematology, Blood Bank, and assist in Microbiology testing as needed.

The part-time position will rotate coverage between Chemistry and Hematology, Blood Bank and also assisting to provide coverage for Microbiology testing, as needed. This is a TEMPORARY position.

This is a TEMPORARY, part-time position, working every Saturday and Sunday, 4pm-12am with rotating holidays.

Preferred Criteria

• ASCP certification

Required Criteria

• A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Education department
• If pending a clinical laboratory technologist license - must obtain license within 6 months of hire
