Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support interventional procedures, maintain the procedure room, and assist physicians with sterile technique. The role requires 1–2 years of related experience and BLS certification, with preferred Surgical Technologist Certification.

Responsibilities include prepping patients, handling medications, and ensuring equipment readiness. Candidates must comply with HIPAA and quality standards; travel is possible within assigned centers.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of related experience.
• Surgical Technologist Certification preferred.
• Working knowledge of sterile techniques.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with interventional equipment (C-Arm and Ultrasound) preferred.
• Knowledge of universal precautions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the maintenance and setup of the procedure room in compliance with FMCNA/USV policies and procedures and regulations.
• Stock procedure room and trays with supplies and interventional equipment prior to procedure.
• Clean the procedure room and equipment post procedure.
• May assist with patient preparation by positioning, shaving and prepping.
• Prepare and administer intravenous medications within scope and state regulations.
• Perform patient transfers and positioning and transport to and from the procedure room.
• Assist physician during interventional procedures under sterile technique and regulatory guidelines.
• Draw up and label intravenous medications as per policy.
• Perform circulating duties in the procedure room.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
• Assist with maintaining environment and acquiring equipment and supplies, preventing wastage.
• Support CQI and quality goals in the facility.
