Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support interventional procedures. Under supervision, the role includes scrub and circulating duties, preparing the procedure room, stocking supplies, and assisting physicians with sterile technique.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of related experience, knowledge of C-Arm and ultrasound equipment, and BLS certification. High school diploma and Surgical Technologist certification are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Surgical Technologist Certification as required by state regulations.
• All appropriate state licensure and/or certification education and training required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and maintain procedure room per FMCNA/USV policies and regulations.
• Stock procedure room and trays with supplies and interventional equipment.
• Clean and prep procedure room and equipment after procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and transport to the procedure room.
• Assist physician during interventional procedures under sterile technique.
• Prepare and label intravenous medications within scope of practice.
• Perform circulating duties in the procedure room.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA policies.
• Ensure equipment and instruments are in proper working condition and report issues.
• Assist with instrument sterilization and packaging as needed.
• Assist with inventory, ordering, and restocking of supplies.
