Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a per diem Certified Surgical Technologist in our Fairfield, CT surgery center. The role supports scrub and circulating duties during interventional procedures, maintains sterile technique, and prepares the procedure room and patient for operations.

The center operates weekday hours with as-needed shifts. The candidate should have CST certification, High School Diploma, and Surgical Technologist certification per state regulations, plus familiarity with C-Arm

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Surgical Technologist Certification as required by state regulation.
• All appropriate state licensure, and/or certification education and training (if any) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance and setup of the procedure room in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Stock procedure room and trays with supplies and interventional equipment.
• Clean the procedure room and equipment after procedures.
• Prepare patient for surgery by positioning, prepping, and shaving as needed.
• Performs circulating duties in the procedure room.
• Assist with preparing, organizing and using supplies to prevent wastage.
• Provide patient care support per physician instructions and HIPAA standards.
• Maintain medical records and administrative logs as required by policy.
