Job summary

Via Linda Behavioral Hospital in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a per diem, nonexempt Staff Pharmacist to fill orders with accuracy, supervise technicians, and support daily pharmacy operations. The role uses Omnicell and Cerner including E-Mar and CPOE throughout the hospital.

Pharmacists must hold a BS or PharmD and have experience with MS Office and pharmacy information systems. Inpatient hospital experience and mental health focus are preferred, with competitive hourly pay and comprehensive

Qualifications

BS or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
Experience using MS Office and pharmacy information systems.

Responsibilities

Review, verify, and dispense medication orders to ensure appropriateness, safety, and accuracy.
Provide clinical pharmacy services, including medication therapy management and pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to optimize medication regimens for hospitalized patients.
Monitor patient outcomes and medication safety, identifying and preventing adverse drug events.
Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and interns, ensuring efficient and compliant workflow.
Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance, including Joint Commission, state, and federal requirements.
