Job summary

The Lutheran Social Ministries of New Jersey is seeking a per diem Hospice Companionship/Homemaker Aide (CHHA) to serve patients in the Atlantic and Cape May county areas. The role provides personal care and light housekeeping under RN supervision, with a weekend differential of $25/hour.

Candidates must complete NJ-approved Hospice Aide/Homemaker training, hold a valid driver’s license, and meet certification requirements to join our compassionate interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a NJ-approved Hospice Aide/Homemaker training program.
• Certification as Hospice Aide/Homemaker and proof for personnel file.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and light housekeeping to hospice patients in homes, facilities, or inpatient units.
• Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and participate in the Hospice Interdisciplinary Team (IDT).
• Document observations and services timely according to the patient care plan.
