Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a per diem Home Health Aide to provide hands-on personal care to patients in their homes, supporting comfort and daily functioning under supervision of licensed staff and within an individualized care plan.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, maintaining a safe home, helping with bathing, mobility, meals, light housekeeping, monitoring changes, and following infection control procedures.

Qualifications

• Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant per state requirements.
• Current CPR certification.
• CNA experience within the last two years; if more than two years, complete another training before providing services.
• Must pass the competency program of the care center.

Responsibilities

• Obtains temperature, pulse, blood pressure and respiration.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and healthy environment.
• Assists patient with bed mobility, bathing, hygiene, and toileting.
• Prepares and provides meals or assists with meals.
• Performs light homemaking and environmental services.
• Observes and documents changes in patient status.
• Recognizes emergencies and follows procedures per policy.
• Follows infection control and safety protocols.
• Assists with prescribed exercises as instructed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
