Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Per diem Home Health Aide to support patients in their residences, promoting comfort, safety, and independence under supervision of licensed staff.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, documenting changes, maintaining a clean environment, and following the care plan; hourly pay ranges from $13 to $20 with benefits and part-time/full-time options.

Qualifications

• Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant per state requirements.
• Current CPR certification.
• CNA experience within the last two years; if more than two years, complete another training/competency before providing services.
• Must pass the competency program of the care center.

Responsibilities

• Obtains temperature, pulse, blood pressure and respiration.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and healthy environment.
• Assists patient with bed mobility, bathing, hygiene, and toileting.
• Prepares and assists with meals.
• Performs light homemaking and environmental services.
• Observes and reports changes in patient status.
• Understands basic body functioning and reports changes.
• Recognizes emergencies and follows procedures.
• Follows infection control and safety procedures.
• Performs care plan instructions for personal care.
• Assists with prescribed exercises as directed.
