Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of histology principles and processing methods.
• Experience operating microscopes and embedding equipment.
• Ability to gross, process, embed, section, and stain tissue specimens.
• Follows approved protocols and maintains accuracy and quality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tissue specimens for routine and special procedures.
• Gross, process, embed, section, and stain tissue specimens.
• Prepare slides for light and other microscopic examination.
• Maintain equipment and records with attention to quality control.
• Follow safety and regulatory standards.
• Support laboratory workflow based on patient schedules and demand.
