Job summary

UNC REX Healthcare in Wilson, NC is seeking a Per-Diem General Surgeon to join Rex NC Surgery-Wilson. The role covers breast, colon, and hernia surgeries using laparoscopic techniques, with both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.

The team currently includes three physicians and two advanced practice providers, with an additional APP to be hired; board-certified or board-eligible candidates with NC license preferred.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board certified or board eligible in General Surgery.
• Active North Carolina medical license (or ability to obtain).
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general surgery procedures including breast, colon, and hernia surgeries.
• Work both inpatient and outpatient with variable schedule.
• Be part of Rex NC Surgery-Wilson team at UNC Health.

Education

MD or DO from an accredited medical school

Board certified or board eligible in General Surgery

Active North Carolina medical license

BLS and ACLS certification
