Job summary

Masonicare Corp, at Middlewoods of Newington in Newington, CT, is seeking a Per Diem front desk/guest services role covering 8am-4pm and 4pm-9pm shifts. The position greets and assists visitors and residents, coordinates with the Recreation Department for activities, handles messages and deliveries, maintains calendars, and provides administrative support as needed.

Education is a High School diploma or equivalent, with preferred customer service and office experience; no licensure required.

Qualifications

• Experience: Customer service and office experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets, assists and directs visitors, residents and other callers.
• Coordinates with Recreation Department to provide recreation activities.
• Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program and safety standards.
• Assists visitors and residents; directs them to locations; calls for an escort when necessary.
• Receives messages, flowers, newspapers and other items and notifies staff; delivers or arranges delivery to residents and staff.
• Performs recreation activities (exercise, games, discussion groups).
• Maintains files on resident requests for meal service and status; maintains directory and resident information.
• Assists in care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
• Attends educational programs and inservice meetings; participates in required meetings.
• Handles emergencies via Call-for-Aid; notifies and directs staff.
• Inputs maintenance and housekeeping work orders.
• Maintains Outlook calendar for guest room reservations.
• Fills in for Administrative Assistants as needed.
• Sorts and distributes incoming correspondence; assists with administrative duties.
• Receives daily prescriptions from various pharmacies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
