Job summary

VEG ER for Pets in Manhattan Beach, CA, seeks a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join a front-line ER team. You will assist with triage, treatments, and critical care nursing, staying present for pets and their families in stressful moments.

You will manage IVs, monitoring, diagnostics, and anesthesia support, collaborating with doctors to maintain high-quality, compassionate care across shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a veterinary technician; emergency or specialty experience preferred.
• Credentialed veterinary technician in state VEG practice location (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT).
• High school diploma or equivalent; AVMA-accredited program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage to discharge.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and monitor critical patients including transfusions.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to plan and maintain smooth patient flow.
