Job summary

VEG—Veterinary Emergency Group—Roseville is seeking a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our on-call ER team. You will work on the front lines with doctors, managing emergencies, anesthesia, triage, and critical care while providing compassionate support to pet parents in their moment of need.

You bring CVT/RVT/LVMT credentials with AVMA-accredited education, 1+ year of veterinary tech experience, and the ability to lift and stand for long shifts.

Qualifications

• Credentialed veterinary technician in the state of practice.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role, emergency or specialty experience preferred.
• Must be able to stand for long hours and lift up to 25 kg (assistance up to 40 kg).
• Strong communication and ability to work in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage to discharge.
• Assist in anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Perform diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and catheter placements.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to deliver high-quality care.
• Support pet parents with empathy during stressful moments.
• Utilize advanced techniques and equipment as needed.
