Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is seeking a PRN RN for the Emergency Department to provide compassionate direct care in a fast-paced environment. The role requires evaluating and updating care plans, coordinating discharges, and educating patients and families while following nursing protocols.

This per diem position offers variable shifts and competitive pay. Ideal candidates have ADN or BSN, active RN licensure, BLS ACLS and relevant certifications (ENPC within 24 months; PALS within 1 year).

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the applicable state.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; ENPC within 24 months of hire; PALS within one year of hire.
• One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Evaluate, update, and revise plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned outcomes.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and families with educational materials considering cultural issues.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with approved nursing protocol.
