Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital is hiring an experienced RN for the Emergency Department on a per diem basis in Akron, OH. You will provide direct nursing care, coordinate treatments, and communicate patient conditions, while ensuring discharge planning is coordinated with the care team.

The role requires an Ohio RN license, BLS, and relevant ED nursing experience; ACLS/PALS and TNCC/ENPC are preferred or required within set timeframes.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma/ADN/BSN).
• Current state RN license in Ohio.
• BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred; TNCC/ENPC required within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Maintain professional growth and development through ongoing education and clinical nursing study.

Education

Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
