Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking an Endoscopy Technician for a per diem, as-needed, non-benefit eligible role at Boston Medical Center South. The technician will assist the Endoscopist, support patients of all ages, and ensure care aligns with our ethical standards and patient rights.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, endoscopy experience, and BLS certification. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Endoscopy experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• Working knowledge with GI scopes (upper and lower) and experience with GI physicians.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary assistant to the Endoscopist during endoscopy procedures for patients of all ages.
• Provide care addressing age-specific needs from infant to elderly.
• Tailor care to impairments (hearing, vision, language, substance abuse, abuse victims).
• Incorporate commitment to patient rights, the hospital value/ethics statements, and patient responsibilities.
