Job summary

Boston Medical Center – South is hiring an Endoscopy Technician to assist the Endoscopist during procedures for patients of all ages. This part-time role involves 32 hours weekly with on-call evenings, weekends, and holidays.

You will address patient needs, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, maintain scope readiness, and support patient rights and safety in line with our values. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 2–3 years of relevant experience, CPR certification,

Position Summary and Schedule

Schedule: 32 Hours, Days, On-Call Required (Eves/Nights, Weekends, Holidays), Part-Time, Benefit Eligible Position Summary: The Endoscopy Technician acts as the primary assistant at the field, assisting the Endoscopist performing the endoscopy procedure on patients of all ages.

Responsibilities
  • Provides care that addresses the specific needs of age groups from infant to elderly.
  • Customizes to a variety of needs specific to impairments, such as hearing, sight, substance abuse, non-English speaking, and potential victims of abuse.
  • Incorporates knowledge and understanding of our commitment to patient rights, our value statement, mission statement, code of ethics, and patient responsibilities into the performance of job responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: 2-3 years of relevant experience
  • Certification/Licensure: CPR
  • Must have working knowledge with scopes in the upper and lower GI tact and experience working with GI Physician.
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills and the ability to perform as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, instilling a positive cohesive spirit to ensure customer satisfaction.

Compensation Range: $20.25- $30.10
