Job summary

Stony Brook Medicine is seeking an EEG Specialist who delivers clinical EEG services with a focus on patient-centered care and clear communication. You will perform routine, portable, and continuous EEG studies, ensuring high-quality data across all ages.

You will support long-term video EEG monitoring, review EEG data, maintain equipment and records, and work with physicians and technologists to advance EMG/NCV/EP skills and seizure surgery planning.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; at least 1 year EEG experience.
• Graduation from an EEG training program or EEG module.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical EEG experience, including pediatric and neonate exposure.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, portable and continuous EEG studies.
• Conduct long-term video EEG monitoring with setup, review and editing of data.
• Maintain equipment and inventory; manage patient records and databases.
• Assist in advancing EMG/NCV and evoked potentials skills with staff.
• Understand EEG recording for seizure surgery with appropriate montage design.
