Stony Brook Medicine is seeking an EEG Specialist who delivers clinical EEG services with a focus on patient-centered care and clear communication. You will perform routine, portable, and continuous EEG studies, ensuring high-quality data across all ages.
You will support long-term video EEG monitoring, review EEG data, maintain equipment and records, and work with physicians and technologists to advance EMG/NCV/EP skills and seizure surgery planning.
At Stony Brook Medicine, an EEG Specialist is a valuable member of our team, who provides clinical services to our patient population. Qualified candidates will demonstrate superior patient care and possess outstanding communication skills while adhering to our high standard of excellence.
Required: High School Diploma or GED. 1 year or more performing EEG's. Graduation from an EEG training program, completion or acceptable EEG module or minimum 5 years of clinical experience as EEG Tech., including pediatric and neonate experience.
Preferred: Academic and/or clinical experience in EEG as well as EMG/NCV and/or Evoked Potentials Experience with epilepsy monitoring equipment and unit. Registration of the American Board of EEG and EP Technologists (ABRET). R.EEG T credential.
This position will remain posted until filled or for a maximum of 90 days. An initial review of all applicants will occur two weeks from the posting date. The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $35/hr - $42/hr
The above salary range represents SBUH's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The specific salary offer will be based on the candidate’s validated years of comparable experience.
