Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–3 years of medical office experience with frequent customer interaction is required.
• Must read, write and communicate in English.
• Spanish language ability a plus.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Previous patient registration or patient accounting experience preferred.
• Must complete Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training bi-annually.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients upon arrival in the ED.
• Collect and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Advise patients on next steps in the care process.
• Answer and direct internal and external calls; page on-call providers.
• Respond to emergency communications such as code calls and critical alerts.
