Job summary

Bridgton Hospital is seeking an Emergency Department Technician (Per Diem) to support the Emergency Services team in Bridgton, Maine. The role requires assisting with daily living activities and basic nursing care under RN supervision.

The candidate should have a high school diploma, EMT certification or CNA as required by state, BLS within 30 days, and at least six months in acute care settings. Competitive per diem schedule offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current EMT Certification or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), if required by the State
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Technician in the Emergency Department is an unlicensed non-certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
