Job summary

Central Maine Healthcare, Bridgton Hospital, is seeking a Per Diem Emergency Department Technician for variable shifts in Bridgton, Maine. The role involves assisting with daily living activities and basic nursing care under RN supervision to support non-critical patients in a busy ED.

Requirements include a high school diploma, BLS, and EMT or CNA credentials with prior acute care experience preferred. Competitive benefits and a per diem compensation plan are offered.

• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Technician in the Emergency Department is an unlicensed non-certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
• Assist with activities of daily living and basic nursing tasks under RN supervision to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Pay Transparency

Bridgton Hospital offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $23.00 to $26.75. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
