Job summary
Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is seeking a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced ER team. You will work on the front lines of emergency care, triage, treatments, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, collaborating closely with doctors and staff to deliver compassionate, high-quality care for pets and their families.
Qualified candidates are credentialed (CVT/RVT/LVMT) in the practice state with ER experience preferred.
Qualifications
- CVT/RVT/LVMT credential in the practice state is required
- 1+ years experience as veterinary technician; ER experience preferred
- AVMA-accredited program degree strongly preferred
- Ability to stand for long hours and lift up to 25 kg
Responsibilities
- Triage and treat emergencies from minor to complex cases with doctors and team
- Perform nursing care, treatments, and emotional support through critical moments
- Assist with anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing
- Utilize diagnostics and imaging and manage sample collection
- Contribute to CPR readiness and apply advanced techniques when needed
- Communicate effectively with teammates to support patient care
