Job summary

Waypoint Maine, Inc. is seeking a Residential Per Diem Direct Support Professional to support members within Waypoint's programs, promoting healthy relationships and independence.

The DSP will work as part of a team, in residents' homes or programs, following individual treatment plans, documenting progress, and ensuring safety and dignity. Starting pay is $16.00/hour with per diem scheduling, limited hours (up to 25 per week) and a requirement to work at least 12 hours every two months to

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Proficient in speaking, reading and writing English.
• Able to use IT systems for time/attendance and training documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop a rapport with residents and cultivate a safe, supportive relationship.
• Provide support during skills-building activities.
• Implement individual treatment plans and positive support plans.
• Assist with daily living activities including meals, cleaning, and personal hygiene.
• Transport residents in approved vehicles for activities and appointments.
• Maintain confidentiality and dignity of members.
• Record ISP progress notes daily and track progress toward goals.
• Follow safety, licensing, and MaineCare requirements.
• Work effectively within a team and with families/guardians.
• Other duties as assigned.
