Job summary

Waypoint Maine, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support residents with intellectual and other disabilities. The role emphasizes safe, respectful care, daily living assistance, and participation in individualized plans within a team environment.

You will collaborate with staff, guardians, and community partners to promote health, independence, and dignity while following all policies and safety guidelines. A strong English proficiency and driving license are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with members, families, coworkers and other professionals
• Willingness to implement positive behavior support and structured activities
• No prior experience required; eagerness to learn and support individuals with complex disabilities

Responsibilities

• Develop rapport with residents and maintain a safe, supportive environment
• Support daily living activities and skills-building.
• Implement individual treatment plans and positive support plans
• Document progress notes, plans and outcomes regularly
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality for all members
