Waypoint Maine, Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals in Maine to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential and community settings. The role focuses on promoting independence, dignity, and safe supports, with medication administration under CRMA guidelines where required.

Starting pay is $22.00 per hour with a $1,500 sign-on bonus for residential DSP positions in the Western Region of Maine. Benefits include health insurance and paid time off.

Qualifikationen

• Must become DSP, CRMA and Safety Care certified as a primary responsibility of the DSP position.
• Must have a valid driver's license from state of residence and clean driving record.
• Must be proficient in speaking, reading and writing English.
• The ability to learn beginner level Information Technology skills.

• Develop a collaborative rapport with participants and plan activities aligned with their goals.
• Respect each individual's right to privacy and confidentiality.
• Encourage self-determination and self-advocacy by supporting interests and choices.
• Maintain accurate documentation including health records, progress notes and plans.
• Provide personal care tasks with respect for dignity and privacy.
• Support household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal prep.
• Assist transportation to appointments, activities, and events.
• Follow therapy and care plan recommendations.
