Job summary

Central Florida Kidney Centers, Inc. is seeking a Per Diem Patient Care Technician (PCT) based in Orlando. The PCT provides dialysis-related care under the direction of a registered nurse and may travel to other units depending on patient needs.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, dialysis experience, and relevant certifications (hemodialysis course, BLS, NNCC/BONENT/CHT) prior to hire. This is a non-exempt, per diem position under the nurse manager supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in hemodialysis process is required.
• Certifications: hemodialysis course, BLS, and NNCC/BONENT/CHT certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Set up dialysis machine and dialyzer; initiate, monitor, and terminate treatment.
• Maintain policy and procedures; observe and report patient needs to RN promptly.
• Assist in patient education and maintain a safe, pleasant work environment.
• Obtain blood samples and assist with emergencies under RN supervision.
• Travel to other units as needed based on patient care requirements.
