Job summary

Doral Health & Wellness in Brooklyn, NY, seeks a dedicated Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our dialysis team. Under RN supervision, you will deliver hands-on care supporting patients with kidney disease and help ensure safe, effective treatments.

The ideal candidate has PCT or dialysis tech certification, CPR, and strong attention to detail. We offer competitive hourly pay starting at $25/hour, comprehensive benefits, PTO, 401(k), and a collaborative, growth‑minded work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Dialysis Technician certification.
• Current CPR certification (or must obtain within 60 days of hire).
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and prime dialysis machines and extracorporeal circuits.
• Record and monitor patients' vital signs and weight before, during, and after treatment.
• Assist with initiating and terminating dialysis treatments under RN supervision.
• Monitor dialysis parameters, troubleshoot equipment, and report abnormal findings.
• Obtain and prepare blood samples for lab transport.
• Ensure proper infection control and safety practices at all times.
• Support patients with positioning, transfers, and mobility as needed.
• Collaborate with the care team, including RNs, PCTs, and dialysis technicians, to deliver high-quality care.
