Job summary

Sierra Medical Center in Reno, NV seeks a Day Surgery RN for per diem coverage to provide direct and indirect patient care in the DSU and preoperative holding area. You will communicate with physicians, nurse managers, and co-workers about patient changes and respond quickly to evolving clinical conditions.

Responsibilities include head-to-toe assessments, pain management education, planning of care, and discharge planning while upholding compassionate, high-quality nursing care and teamwork

Qualifications

• Nevada RN license active.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in DSU and PHA environments.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and nurse manager.
• Perform general nursing duties with adequate supervision.
• Conduct head-to-toe assessments and pain management.
• Develop and implement plan of care with physician orders and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with care teams to ensure respectful, holistic patient care.
