Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Per Diem Cytotechnologist to join our team in Wichita, KS. This position will be working onsite at Ascension St Francis Hospital with a flexible schedule between 6am–11pm, Monday–Friday.

The role focuses on screening cytology specimens and delivering timely, accurate results. Minimum qualifications include a BS degree, completion of an accredited Cytology program, ASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) certification, and passing slide screening with CAP proficiency tests.

Qualifications

• BS degree from an accredited college/university.
• Successful completion of an accredited Cytology program.
• ASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) Certification.
• Pass slide screening requirements and annual CAP proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens for malignancy or abnormal conditions.
• Screen liquid based cytology (manual and imaged) and conventional slides.
• Microscopic evaluation of cytological specimens following procedures.
• Document workload and reporting per CLIA and lab guidelines.
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of results.
• Meet slide screening requirements per SOP.
• Finalize results in the computer promptly.
• Provide backup for cytology processing and related tasks.
• Comply with safety, infection control and HIPAA policies.
