Endeavor Health is seeking a Cytotechnologist for a per diem position at Northwest Community Hospital. You will oversee lab operations, review results, and resolve technical issues to ensure accurate cytology reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Cytotechnology with CAHEEP accreditation and CT(ASCP) eligibility. Per diem work offers flexibility while supporting high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cytotechnology from a CAHEEP-accredited program or equivalent.
• CT(ASCP) eligibility within first year of employment for new graduates.
• Minimum 1 year Cytotechnology experience preferred; new graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations in the laboratory section and ensure workflow efficiency.
• Review reports, address abnormal results, troubleshoot issues, and manage specimen handling.
• Serve as a primary resource for inquiries on cytology procedures and instrument use.
• Evaluate gynecologic, non-gynecologic, and FNA specimens per regulatory standards.
• Match requisitions, label slides, and refer high-risk cases to the Clinical Pathologist.
• Enter results accurately into the computer system and support FNA procedures.
