Job summary

Labcorp seeks a Pathologist Assistant for the Pathology Laboratory at Ascension St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, KS. Per Diem / As Needed schedule.

You will handle dissection, description and submission of tissues for microscopic exam, while following department guidelines. Minimum qualifications include a biology/chemistry life-science degree and progress toward NAACLS PA credential; experience with high-volume clinical labs is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biological, Chemical or a related life science required.
• Completion of a NAACLS accredited PA program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete dissection, gross description, selection and submission of tissue for microscopic examination
• Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing
• Adhere to quality control policies and procedures
• Identify problems that may affect test performance and work to correct them
• Maintain professionalism and high ethical standards in duties
