Job summary

White Oaks Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking a Per Diem Cook for our skilled nursing facility in Woodbury, NY. You will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving a variety of foods, including baking rolls, cookies, cakes, and pies.

The role requires a SERV Safe or Sodexo healthcare-cooking certification, at least two years of large-scale cooking experience, and strong teamwork and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Certification in healthcare cooking (SERV Safe or Sodexo).
• Minimum two years of experience in large-scale cooking.
• Strong knowledge of large-scale and therapeutic food prep.
• Able to perform some physical work.
• Strong team player.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Will manage kitchen in absence of food service director.

Responsibilities
