Job summary

White Oaks Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Woodbury, NY is seeking a Per Diem Cook for our skilled nursing facility. The role involves preparing, cooking, and serving a variety of foods, baking rolls, cookies, cakes, and pies, and assisting with tray-line service during meals.

Candidates must hold a healthcare cooking certification (SERV Safe or Sodexo), have at least two years of large-scale cooking experience, and possess strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Certification in healthcare cooking (SERV Safe or Sodexo).
• Minimum two years of experience in large-scale cooking.
• Knowledge of large-scale and therapeutic food prep.
• Ability to perform physical tasks.
• Strong team player.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Will manage kitchen in absence of food service director.
