Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for a per diem Med/Surg role in Lewiston, ME. Required CNA certification and a preference for six months in acute care settings, with BLS and other listed credentials. Per diem shifts vary, reflecting patient needs and staffing.

Qualifications

• Current phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.
• Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• CNA certification required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care under RN supervision.
• Maintains a safe environment and supports unit operations.
