Job summary

Immediate Care Walk-In Management LLC is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for per diem coverage in Warren, NJ, with opportunities to pick up shifts at other sites. The role requires interviewing, triaging, vital signs, charting, and assisting providers in exam rooms.

Candidates should be able to travel to multiple sites and work evenings and weekends. Ideal applicants hold CMA certification, a high school diploma, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; some college preferred.
• Medical assistant certification.
• Ability to maintain effective, organized systems for patient flow.
• Ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and document vital signs in charts.
• Assist providers in exam rooms and give instructions to patients.
• Perform blood draws and EKGs as needed.
• Maintain stocked exam rooms and prepare sterilization as required.
• Manage calls from patients, providers, and pharmacy.
• Cross-train for patient registration when necessary.
• Travel to other sites and be willing to work evenings and weekends.
• Maintain certifications and complete additional duties as assigned.
