Atlantic Health System seeks a Certified Medical Assistant I for per diem, variable shifts in Morristown, NJ. You will support patient intake, chart updates, vital signs, and specimen collection under physician supervision.

The role includes assisting with clinic visits and ensuring data quality and accreditation readiness. The position requires a high school diploma and CCMA certification; an associate degree and healthcare experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• National CCMA certification from an accredited program is required.
• Associate's degree in Medical Care or related field preferred.
• 1 year of healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle patient intake, update medical records and perform screening tools.
• Record medical information and test results; conduct interviews and take vital signs.
• Assist with walk-in and scheduled visits; ensure data accuracy and quality standards.
• Monitor accreditation readiness and adjust practice schedule as needed.
• Provide patient-centered and team-based care within scope of CMA practice.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

CCMA Certification (NHA/AAMA/NAHP/ARMA/AMT/AMCA/NCCT)

Associate's degree in Medical Care or related field
