Qualifications

• Licensed as a NYS Certified Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or in biology, chemistry or physical sciences from an accredited program.
• One year of clinical laboratory experience; internship accepted.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex laboratory tests and procedures.
• Follow approved policies and instrument operation and recording/reporting of results.
• Conduct quality control, instrument maintenance, and calibration checks.
• Troubleshoot using approved guidelines and document outcomes.
• Review patient results before release to EMR and correlate with history/previous values.
