Job summary

Carson Valley Health is seeking a Clinical Lab Scientist for per diem coverage in Gardnerville, NV. The role involves performing comprehensive laboratory testing across chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, serology and molecular assays, ensuring proper specimen handling and accurate reporting.

The position requires a 4-year science degree, active CLS licensure or eligibility in Nevada, and at least two years of CLS experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science required.
• Licensure as a CLS/MLT or eligible for licensure as a “General Supervisor of a Licensed Laboratory” with the Nevada DBPH.
• Minimum of 2 years full-time experience working as a licensed Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS).
• Excellent communication and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, serology/immunology, molecular testing, bacteriology, and blood bank testing.
• Enter Lab orders into LIS accurately and manage results, faxing, printing and specimen tracking.
