Job summary

Tufts Medical Center is seeking nursing students for a per diem Clinical Care Technician role. You will work under the supervision of licensed nurses to provide patient care, assist with activities of daily living, and participate in a hospital environment that emphasizes patient safety and family-centered care.

Qualified students will have a high school diploma, BLS certification, and either CNA or MA certification (preferred).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification required.
• Certifications relevant to the department may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assists the professional nurse in the direct care of patients under supervision.
• Provides activities of daily living and comfort measures to patients.
• Greets patients and families, responding to requests promptly while following service standards.
• Records and communicates patient data to the assigned nurse.
• Prepares rooms for admission/transfer/discharge and ensures equipment is ready.
• Transports patients as needed and maintains patient safety.
• Sets up for procedures as requested by nursing/medical staff and maintains equipment.
• Cleans and safely disposes of used equipment and supplies.
• Collects specimens and prepares them for laboratory testing.
