Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a per diem Registered Nurse for the Post Intensive Care Unit I on 4 Tower at the New Brunswick campus. The unit is a busy 32-bed cardiac telemetry and intermediate care area.

Required ASN or Nursing Diploma with active NJ RN license, BLS/ACLS, and 2–3 years Med/Surg or Telemetry experience preferred. Day shift; every 4 weeks includes 2 weekend shifts. Per Diem status with hourly pay range noted in postings.

Qualifications

• ASN or Nursing Diploma is required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• BSN preferred or must be completed within 5 years of hire.
• 2–3 years Med/Surg or Telemetry RN experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications; active New Jersey RN License.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Maintain safety and apply evidence-based practice.
• Report safety issues and medical errors.
• Know the patient population served.
• Supervise and direct delegation to team members.
• Set and evaluate priorities with measurable outcomes.
