Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intensive Care Unit at RWJ Hamilton. This day shift position requires a New Jersey RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and 1–2 years ICU experience.

Per diem with rotating weekends and holidays supports flexible scheduling while delivering high-quality critical care. You will assess patients, administer medications, document in the EMR, and collaborate with physicians and care teams.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification (ACLS and PALS).
• ASN or Nursing diploma required; BSN preferred.
• 1–2 years of Acute Care ICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer safe, evidence-based medications and treatments.
• Collaborate with physicians and providers for timely care decisions.
• Provide clear patient and family education about care plans.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record (EPIC).
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and ensure smooth transitions of care.
