Job summary

Shasta Regional Medical Center in Northern California is seeking an Echocardiography Technologist to perform cardiac ultrasound exams and assist physicians during procedures. This per diem role supports a busy Cardiopulmonary Department and contributes to compassionate, patient-centered care.

ARDMS or CCI credentials are preferred, with BLS certification required on hire. The position may involve stress testing and TEE support as part of comprehensive cardiac imaging services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Completion of Echocardiogram program certification preferred.
• EKG rhythm analysis / interpretation certificate or equivalent preferred.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current required.
• ARDMS or CCI credential required.

Responsibilities

• Uses ultrasound to visualize internal cardiac structures, obtain measurements of cardiac valves, ventricle and left atrium and visualize blood flow.
• Assists the physician with complex ultrasound procedures.
• Promotes the smooth and efficient operation of the Cardiopulmonary Department through the appropriate utilization and management of all clerical functions within the department document handling and disposition, interpersonal relationships and information gathering and dispersion.
