Job summary

Lahey Clinic, Inc. is seeking a qualified echocardiography technologist to perform noninvasive testing using high-frequency ultrasound waves.

You will conduct m-mode, 2D, spectral Doppler and color Doppler exams, including stress echocardiograms, to provide accurate data for cardiologists. Qualified candidates will have an Associate degree in echocardiography or related experience with registry eligibility, ARDMS/RDCS or CCI/RCS accreditation, BLS, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or graduate of an accredited echocardiography program or relevant clinical experience resulting in registry eligibility.
• Requires ARDMS/RDCS or CCI/RCS accreditation or accreditation eligible and current BLS certification.
• Strong organizational and written and verbal communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of cardiac anatomy and diagnostic evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiography testing including m-mode, 2D, spectral Doppler, and color Doppler.
• Performs diagnostic exercise/pharmacological stress echocardiograms and provides data for diagnoses.
• Ensures safe testing environment and responds to Code 99s.
• Retrieves and sends data using clinical and financial information systems.
• Maintains documentation in medical records, test reports and logs per policy.
• Adapts to various settings, communicates effectively to promote teamwork.
