Job summary

Spindle is seeking paraprofessionals and behavior specialists to support K-12 learners near Huntsville, AL in a flexible per diem role. You will work hands-on with students with diverse behavioral needs under supervision, contributing to a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of direct experience assisting school-aged children with behavioral challenges in a professional setting
• Preference for candidates with 2 or more years of school-based experience
• Willingness and comfort with providing toileting assistance as needed
• Proven ability to work with diverse age groups (K-12) and adapt to varying classroom dynamics

Responsibilities

• Support instructional, behavioral, and social needs of students under the direction of certified staff
• Implement individualized behavior plans and classroom strategies to foster student success
• Assist with hands-on classroom activities, daily routines, and transitions throughout the school day
• Maintain a nurturing, positive environment for students requiring extra support, including assistance with personal care
• Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and administrative staff to address specific student needs
